"Geopay" offers customers e-commerce services.

“Geopay” offers companies, online store creation, integration with its courier systems, online payments, individual functionality analytics, and other services. As the company's sales and marketing manager Irakli Kikonishvili says, the main goal is to participate in the development of e-commerce in Georgia and to provide technical support to local medium, large, and start-up companies in this direction.

Irakli Kikonishvili: The company was founded in 2011. I think at the right time and environment, because exactly during that period, there was a demand in the market for e-commerce. Its founder and IT director is Vladimer Kandelaki. At the initial stage, the main direction was the integration of well-known online store platforms with international and local online payment channels. This is what determined the name of the company.

M: What system do you use, through which platform do you serve customers?

Vladimer Kandelaki: We thoroughly analyzed the leading online store platforms on the international market and, taking into account various advantages, we chose CS-Cart. This is a multi-functional platform that is very simple to manage even without programming knowledge. For our developers, working with the high-quality software part is quite comfortable. The CS-Cart online store platform has been present on the international market for more than 10 years and is used in more than 170 countries around the world. The system includes all the basic and many additional, new technology-based functionalities that are very important for achieving success in online business. Our main goal is to participate in the development of e-commerce in Georgia and provide technical support to local medium, large, and start-up companies in this direction.

M: Specifically what services do you offer to the customer?

I.K. : The list of our main services is as follows:

  • Creation of “Responsive” design and “Markup”;
  • Integration of online payment methods by plastic card (Visa/Mastercard/Amex) with TBC, CARTU, BOG, LB, VTB in the online store;
  • Integration of TBC, BOG, LB, VTB, Credo, OK, Crystal, SPACE online installment methods in the online store;
  • Integration of fast payment methods TBC PAY and EXPRESS PAY;
  • Integration of the online store with inventory systems: 1C, FINA, BDO, NAV, QUICKBOOKS, etc. (also with individually created inventory systems);
  • Integration of the online store with courier systems: Georgian Post, City Express, DHL, Nova Poshta, etc.
  • Analytics of individual functionality, execution and implementation of modifications;
  • Provision of “hosting” services oriented towards the technical requirements of the online store (the server is checked by the CS-Cart technical team and is listed on their official website as a “hosting” service fully compatible with CS-Cart technical requirements);
  • And most importantly – providing subsequent technical support for the services listed above.

M: Who are the company's clients and how high is the demand for your services?

I.K. : Today, the number of people who try to purchase a desired product online without leaving the office or home is growing more, which forces physical store owners to move sales to the internet space. Creating an online store helps companies avoid the additional costs of opening a physical store or branch, and in return attract potential internet users. Compared to previous years, demand has increased significantly, which gives us even more motivation to develop services in the direction of e-commerce. From our partner online store owners, we receive tasks of various complexity every day, which increases our experience and, based on this, our portfolio.

M: There is a lot of competition in the market. What makes “Geopay” stand out?

V.K. : We chose a narrow, developing profile in the direction of online stores. Today, we have the largest portfolio in the direction of e-commerce in Georgia, which implies the successful execution of tasks of various complexity and accumulated experience in this field. It is vital to provide technical support services for completed projects in this field, which implies an immediate response in case of possible delays during the work process. Accordingly, this is a guarantee of responsibility for the customer. One thing is a visually beautifully packaged “online store” at the initial stage, and another, much more important thing – how it and the services integrated with it will work in real-time mode during the period of load.

M: What does the company plan for the future?

I.K. : Considering the above requirements, we plan to help the local market as much as possible and expand our services. There are no boundaries in this direction, and as authorized partners of CS-Cart, we want to try our strength on an international scale in the near future.
